语言能力（Literacy）和数学素养能力（Numeracy）是一切学科的学习基础。语言能力指的是，为了完成个体目标，所必需具备的理解、批判分析及多种沟通技巧（包括读、写、视、数字多媒体等）的创造能力。而数学素养能力则指的是理解和运用数学概念、运算过程以及在不同情境中解决问题的能力。
作为学习的基础，语言能力和数学素养能力常与特定的学科紧密联系在一起。同时，这些能力在其他的学习领域中也起着至关重要的作用。

——安大略皇家博物馆、多伦多大学、卡萨罗马古堡
安大略皇家博物馆（Royal Ontario Museum）
安省皇家博物馆（ROM）坐落于多伦多市中心，创建于1912年，是北美洲的第五大博物馆。博物馆内的藏品分为考古学、自然科学、人类学和生态美术等几大类。
Royal
Ontario Museum is a very decent museum .It is located in the center of Toronto.
It has several different areas with themes such as Japanese and Chinese
cultures. It also has modern topics. I saw many Chinese culture relics. They
made me a little sad and taught me a thing that we need to be strong to protect
ourselves.
加拿大皇家博物馆，是一个比较权威的博物馆。它位于多伦多的市中心，有不同的主题和展区，比如日本馆和中国馆等。其中也有短时间的展区主题。在展馆里我看到了许多中国文物，它们让我有点伤感，并且告诉我弱小就会被欺负。

We went
to Royal Ontario Museum yesterday. It's the 5th biggest museum in North America
and has the most collections in Canada. Through these collections, I had an
impression of the history of the whole world.
我昨天去了安大略省皇家博物馆，它是加拿大最大的博物馆(北美第五大博物馆)，拥有全加最多的收藏品。 通过这些收藏，我仿佛看到了整个世界的历史。

生命之源展馆里的藏品, 距今应该有上千万年的历史了吧！
在参观游览之余,同学们还需要完成特定的任务,寻找特殊的主题展馆并以小组的形式拍照留念. 博物馆内的不同展区都在讲述着不同的故事,更像是多彩文化间的交融和不同文明间的碰撞。
Yesterday,
we visited the Royal Ontario Museum and completed the mission, adding some fun
to the boring visit. What impresses me most is the Chinese pavilion, which
shows the colorful Chinese culture. My favorite is an animal house, which has a
lot of vivid animals, and I feasted my eyes on it. All in all, the trip to the
museum was a great one and I hope I can do it again.
昨天，我们参观了安大略皇家博物馆，并在里面完成了任务，为枯燥的参观增添了一些趣味性。让我印象最深的便是里面的中国馆，体现了中华文化的博大精深。我最喜欢的是一个动物馆，里面有许多生动的小动物，让我大饱眼福。总之，这趟博物馆之行让我收获颇深，希望还能再来一次。

多伦多大学（University of Toronto）
多伦多大学（University of Toronto）是加拿大最顶尖的学府之一，也是享誉全球的著名公立研究型大学。多大建校于1827年，目前有三个校区：圣乔治中心校区（St. George Campus）、世嘉宝校区（Scarborough Campus），以及密西沙加校区（Mississauga Campus）。
CQSS 2014届毕业生Charlie和2015届毕业生Kylin在多大校园里接待了我们。游访的过程中，我们又与14届毕业生Nabiros不期而遇。
The
University of Toronto is one of the most well-known universities in Canada,
which is located in the downtown of Toronto. It has a huge beautiful campus and
delicate facilities. Moreover, the most attractive thing will be its high
quality of education. U of T has lots of colleges, and this proves its
efficient administration system.
多伦多大学是加拿大最有名的大学，它坐落在多伦多市的中心。多伦多大学有一个巨大的漂亮的校园以及精致的建筑。然而，最吸引我的是它高质量的教学。那里实行学员制管理，所以校园里有很多不同的学院，这保证了多伦多大学对各个科目和院校的高效的管理。

The University
of Toronto is a famous university in Canada and one of the world's most famous
universities. The university has many good majors, such as biology, medicine,
economics and so on. There are also many famous people graduated from this
school, such as one of the discoverers of insulin, Banting. The environment of
this university is perfect, too. There is a big classroom that can hold more
than 1,400 people. It is so amazing！
多伦多大学是加拿大的一所著名大学，也是世界上最著名的大学之一。这所大学有许多优秀的专业，如生物学、医学、经济学等。有许多著名的校友都毕业于这所学校，如发现胰岛素的人之一，班廷。这所大学的环境也很好。有一个大教室可以容纳1400多人。它是那么的棒!

University
of Toronto has the most interesting teaching system. There are a lot of colleges
under the administration of the university. Students are managed by each
college there in daily life, but they have classes in the same classroom in
their programs. The university’s location in the downtown makes a lot of Co-op
opportunities . As one of the best universities in Canada, it also has the best
studying atmosphere.
多伦多大学有着最有意思的教学方式，大学下属有很多学院，学生们的生活分属于各个学院管理，但是却在一起上课。位于市中心的地理位置，吸引了丰富的就业实习机会。作为加拿大最好的大学之一，校园里的学习氛围也非常好。

卡萨罗马古堡（Casa Loma）
卡萨罗马古堡位于多伦多市中心，由金融家亨利男爵（Sir Henry Mill Pellat）在1911-1914年间建成。整个古堡有98所装饰华丽的房间，另外还有巨大的马厩、花园以及隧道。
We went
to a fantastic castle called Casa Loma which was built by a rich person called
Henry for his wife. It is really magnificent, because it has 98 rooms in total
and every room is extravagant. We not only enjoyed the scenery but also
finished some missions as well. That is really interesting.
我们去了一座神奇的城堡，名为卡萨洛马城堡，由一个叫亨利的有钱人为他的妻子建造。 它非常华丽，一共有98个房间，每个房间都很奢华。 我们不仅享受了风景，而且完成了一些任务，这真的很有趣。

在古堡的参观过程中，同学们也需要完成指定的小组任务：Which room has the piano keyboard floor?(找到带有钢琴键地板的房间)；Find out the meaning of “Casa Loma”（找出“卡萨罗马“的含义，西班牙语“山坡上的房子）；Figure out how many rooms are there in the castle（找出城堡里共有多少间房间）等等。总体来说，同学们完成得都很出色！
Casa
Loma is a splendid castle built at the beginning of 20th century. Its previous
owner was the wealthiest person in Canada, but now it belongs to the
government. When we walked inside there, we were impressed by the luxurious and
historical interior. However, since the house was so big, we were really rushed
and tired, and we didn't pay much attention on its details, which is a little
pitiful.
Casa Loma是一座建于20世纪的华丽的城堡。它的前任主人是加拿大最富有的人，但现在它属于政府。 当我们走进去的时候，我们对奢华和历史的内部印象深刻。 但是，因为房子这么大，我们行程有些匆忙，并没有太多注意细节，这多少有点遗憾。

Casaloma
castle is one of the premier attraction landmarks in Toronto. It started to
build in 1911. A famous general has spent 3500 thousands canadian dollars and
hired 300 workers to build the castle. Moreover, the garden and balcony leaved
me a deep ipress, which can oversee the scene of toronto. As a result, the
Casaloma castle is worth it to spend one
or two hours to visit.
卡萨罗马古堡是多伦多的标志性景点之一，它始建于1911年。城堡的建造超过了350万加元，并动用了300多名建筑工人。城堡的花园和阳台令我印象深刻，在那里可以俯瞰整个多伦多市。因此，这里还是值得一游的。
