从2017年夏天在新西兰奥克兰举行的首届峰会，到2018年夏天在青岛九中举行的第二届峰会，再到2019年夏天的新西兰克莱斯特彻奇举行的第三届峰会——连续三届中国-新西兰未来青年领袖峰会，不仅见证了中新两国青少年的成长，更增进了新西兰师生与青岛九中师生的友谊。
新冠肺炎疫情发生后，中国-新西兰未来青年领袖峰会的发起人、峰会新方主席，新西兰南部教育联盟主席的简·菲兹杰拉德（Jan Fitz-Gerald）女士也时刻关注疫情发展、关心着九中师生的健康，日前她专门拍摄了微视频，送上了来自赤道另一端的问候——

But the most important thing I want you to remember is that as leader of tomorrow, you may will face the same situation.
但是我想提醒你们，最重要的是，作为未来的青年领袖，你们也会遇到这些困难。
That is why we have a summit, and that is why we must be prepared.

Your government is doing this very best to solve the sad situation now. So you need to be strong and you need to be patient.
