本学期受疫情影响，同学们都未能按时返校上课。因此，中加班的老师们一直采取线上授课的方式，尽可能保证同学们的学习。在授课的同时，老师们也更加注重增加学习的灵活性，让同学们保持一定的学习积极性和热情。中加班10年级的同学们在Morelli老师的指导下，进行了一堂别开生面的口语课。老师要求同学们选取一幅自己喜欢的艺术作品画像，对其中的人物塑像进行模仿，并以视频的方式讲解这幅作品背后的故事和之所以选择的原因。同学们的作品丰富且充满了乐趣，一起来看看他们的精彩表现吧！

To be honest, I didn’t know much about Van Gogh before and only went through some materials after making up the decision to recreate this painting. Van Gogh’s life is not only miserable but also tragic. I like this painting because it is very special. It not only reflects Van Gogh’s miserable life but also is an expression of an artist who had great talent and cannot be understood and appreciated at that time. I found a lot of fun in this recreation activity.
说实话，我之前对梵高了解很少，只是在决定选择这一幅画之后，才查阅了一些他的资料。梵高的一生充满了凄凉。之所以选取这幅画，是因为它很特别，它反映出的不仅仅是画家痛苦的生活，同样也映射出了所有怀才不遇的艺术家的悲愤和凄凉。我觉得这样的课题活动很有趣。

Unlike other works, this picture doesn’t present beautiful landscapes or abstract characters. It is a real person, like a self-portrait. His hairstyle is distinctive made of 4 curlers. His long fingernails and sallow complexion also reflect he may live in poverty. What impressed me the most is his facial expression and eyes. It is obvious to see his helplessness and nonchalance. I wanted to challenge myself to get as close as possible to his expression. It is what I ended up with. I think it is a very interesting experience for me.
与其他作品不一样的是，这张照片没有展现出漂亮的风景或者抽象的人物，它只是一个普普通通的青年男子，像是一幅自画像。这个男子的发型很别致，带着四个烫卷。从他长长的指甲和凹陷的颧骨来看，他可能生活在贫困中。让我印象最深刻的，是他的表情和眼神。很明显可以看出来，他的眼神既无助又冷漠。我想挑战一下自己，尽可能让自己的表情接近于原作。这对我来说是很有趣的一次经历。

The reason why I chose this work is because I was really shocked by it. First, most of the works I have seen before all belong to Picasso or Van Gogh. Although they are art masters, it is hard for me to understand their arts. In this painting, the girl wearing the earing is turning her head to one side, which is the direction of the painter. It is very alive and natural. Second, the background of this painting is completely black, and it exhibits the girl’s image by comparing with other colors. This painting is very meaningful. I understand that art not only shows the beauty of this world but also reflects the real life. I get to know art better through this activity.
之所以选择这幅画，是因为真的被震撼到了。之前接触的艺术作品，大多数来自于毕加索和梵高。而这幅画里的少女，跟他们作品中的人物都有区别。少女的头转向一边，目光正视着艺术家，表情很生动自然。整幅画的背景都是黑色，这正好凸显了人物身上的其他色彩。通过这幅画，我理解了艺术凸显的不仅仅是美，同时也反映着真实的生活。通过这次课题，我们对艺术作品有了更多的认识。
