冬日要“动”不要“冻”—中加班户外团队活动侧记
转眼间，已过冬至，为了提高孩子们的凝聚力，充分调动他们在本学期剩余时间里的学习积极性，中加班加方校长Mr. Bartley，在寒冷的户外，给同学们准备了几堂别开生面的室外课。
12月9日及16日，两个周五的早间时段，孩子们一大早便列队南校操场。在加方校长的组织下，活动以三个年级的梯队方式进行。
活动规则：
每班各选派6名学生，分为三组，每组两人，负责搭桥运送；剩余的学生，则等待被运送；三组负责运送的学生，需要从待送学生中，挑选5人，并将他们运送到指定地点；最先完成运送的班级获胜。

在活动的过程中，同学们展现出了良好的合作与团队精神。负责搭桥运输的两名学生，需要在提高运输速度的同时，确保被运学生的安全。而待送的学生，则需配合两名运输者，尽快上桥，减少整个运输过程所花费的时间。
另外，每个班还需派出一名同学，代表自己的班级进行竞赛。参加比赛的同学，每人在完成口令指定事项后，有一次机会投掷手里的沙包/小熊。投掷落点距离指定点最近的同学获胜。

In this school activity, I realized the power of working as a team, the charm of working together and the excitement of winning a challenge. After the grade 11s and 12s started to race, I thought this game was very simple. The two boys just needed to hold another student and ran. When I joined this activity, I found that it was not as easy as I had thought. The first time when Leo and Taylor ran to me and let me sit on their arms, we didn’t finish it well. I thought I just needed to sit on their arms, so I did not think whether they were ready or not. However, we didn’t give up. We communicated with each other quickly and adjusted, and then we got it. Although we were not the winner of this activity, it made me understood that communicating with each other was very important for all of us.在11、12年级开始比赛时，我以为这个比赛很简单，无非就是两人架着一人跑而已。但是当我真正参与到这个活动中我才发觉并没有我想的那么简单。当Leo和Taylor跑到我面前让我坐到他们胳膊上时，第一次我们并没有配合好。我只是想着坐到他们胳膊上就好，并没有考虑到他们是否准备好，所以就没有成功。我们并没有放弃而是快速地调整沟通，并完成了这个活动。虽然我们并没有在这次的活动中胜出，但是我通过这次活动明白了与他人沟通是非常重要的。

The activity was unexpected on that morning, but it was fun and think-worthy. I believe that the purpose of this activity was to let us understand the power and importance of corporation. Sometimes we can’t do things just on our own, so corporation can help us to make things right. I like the activity. I have studied in CQSS for 2 years，and my English skill has improved a lot . I can understand the English meaning without confusion when I watch an English movie or read an English book. Also during the communications with my teachers, I can express my opinions clearly and discuss my views with them. This activity builds up our teamwork spirit and reminds us of always trying our best. 在中加班学习的两年以来，我的英语水平有了很大的提升，在看一些外文电影或外文书时，我已经可以清楚的理解其中的含义。并且，在与外教的交流过程中，我也可以熟练的运用英语表达自己的想法，并与他们探讨问题。这次活动锻炼了我们团队协作的能力，并且提醒我们，不管做什么，都要尽己所能。

Actually it was my first time to play such an interesting game in school. My classmates took me easily. After I realized I was going to sit on my classmates' arms and let them carry me up, I was too astounded to say a word. At the beginning, I hesitated for a while and then sat down carefully, because I still worried what if they made me drop off. But after they carried me, I gradually changed my mind. I realized that this activity cannot only promote our friendship, but it can also train our teamwork ability and build the sense of trust between each other.在我知道我要坐在我的同学的胳膊上，并且他们要把我抬起来之后，我非常惊讶。一开始，我有点犹豫，然后非常小心地坐了上去，因为我担心如果他们把我摔下去会怎么办。但是在他们把我抬起来以后，我慢慢改变了我的想法。我认为这个活动不但可以增进同学之间的友谊，还可以锻炼我们的团队协作能力，建立同学间的信任感。

Last Friday, I represented 10a, took part in the game and won. This game can train our listening ability, and we also had a lot of joy in doing it. In this cold winter, this activity can make us feel warmer and bring up our interests in the class. I think that game is very interesting, but I was a little bit unlucky, because I don't know who is Peter, and I don't know how far it was to the goal, so I lost the game.我认为那个游戏非常有意思，但是我有点委屈。因为我不知道Peter是谁，而且不知道距离目标多远，所以我输掉了比赛。

Last week, CQSS held the activity in the morning. I was so lucky to take part in it. This activity tested the use of strategies and our mentality, and the activity before tested our team work. These activities made us feel more confident, and we need to make a good preparation for the final exam. 上周,CQSS早上举行了活动。我很幸运，参加了这个活动。这个活动包括战略及心态。最后一个活动则考验我们的团队合作精神。这些活动使的我们更加有信心，为接下来的期末考试做好准备。
